HERAA.ai launches books-as-subscriptions platform
The startup says nonfiction titles can now be delivered as AI-guided memberships with cloned-voice audio, coaching videos and recurring fees.
HERAA.ai has launched the Living Book Platform, a done-for-you service that turns nonfiction books into AI-powered subscription products. The company says the package is designed to replace a one-time sale with an ongoing membership built around an AI adviser, audio narration in the author’s cloned voice, chapter coaching videos and a live community.
In an EIN Presswire release, HERAA.ai says the platform is meant to represent a new category of publishing infrastructure at the intersection of AI, authored content and human development. The company says it can deliver a complete Living Book in about 30 days and that the platform is patent pending under U.S. Application No. 64/097,690.
HERAA frames the product as a response to what it calls a failure mode in the global business book market, where authors’ frameworks are distilled into books that readers buy once and never open again. Founder Eric S. Markowitz put it more bluntly: “The problem isn’t the content. The problem is the format.”
The company’s economics pitch is central to the launch. It says readers pay $9.95 a month, authors keep 90 cents of every dollar, and a Living Book generates $9.36 per reader each month. HERAA says that at 500 subscribers the model would generate $56,160 a year, compared with $1,250 in traditional royalties, and that an author would need to sell 22,000 Amazon copies a year to match that subscription base.
The first live example is The Blind Spot Advantage, a book by Markowitz that HERAA says launched on 17 August and is live at App.BlindSpotAdvantage.com with a 15-day free trial at $9.95 a month. The company says the project was later spotlighted in Noelle Russell’s I Love AI community on 22 August, where more than 100 AI practitioners and industry leaders reacted to it.
Russell called the project “an example of human ingenuity amplified by AI” and said even a few hundred active subscribers could produce meaningful recurring revenue. She also described the model as “a completely different economics than Amazon” and said it does not stop at a book but becomes “a scalable consulting platform.”
HERAA also says it offers a free guide to recurring revenue in publishing, along with a $2,500 strategy session, a $15,000 starter Living Book, a $25,000 full Living Book and hosting from $297 a month.
