Eylsia Nicolas pauses live singing and launches labelled AI-hybrid studio

HHGC Studios says its performers will disclose when technology, sampled voice and AI shape the work

Singer-songwriter Eylsia Nicolas has paused live singing after an emergency medical episode and launched HHGC Studios, a venture that will label performances combining human and AI elements. The studio’s “Human Hybrid Generated Characters” designation is intended to make clear when a work involves human performance, sampled voice, proprietary technology and artificial intelligence. Nicolas was rushed for emergency treatment after sudden, severe bleeding during a recording session in the week before Oct. 12, according to the Newswire release. Medical advisers indicated that a return to live singing was unlikely in the immediate future. Her medical history includes a 20% loss of lung capacity and vocal-cord damage. She has also stepped back from recording with her natural voice for now, while planning to issue unreleased original music from her catalog. The release put that catalog at 300 tracks, of which about half have charted on independent charts and one-fifth reached the Top 10. Nicolas said she would not replace herself with technology. But when technology is dominant, whether because of her health or creative choice, she will use “Eylsia Nicolas HHGC” so audiences know what they are experiencing. The identifier is intended to extend beyond Nicolas herself to actors, singers, hosts and other performers developed by HHGC Studios. The company said every hybrid creation will carry a clear label. Its planned areas of exploration include holograms, AI-revived performers and hybrid entertainment. Nicolas argued that artists should be able to experiment with AI without stigma, including for mixing, mastering, instrumentation, avatars and fully synthetic performances. She characterized the technology as disruptive across recording studios, computer graphics, accounting and publishing, and said she plans a dedicated channel or public forum on the future of creative labor. The announcement described Nicolas as having 2.5 million social-media followers. It said her catalog had passed 800 million views in 2026, while biographical information supplied by Eylsia Nicolas LLC put her music’s global views since 2025 at more than 850 million.
