BeatViz launches AI Director for full-song music videos
The conversational tool combines track analysis, visual planning, generation and timeline editing in one music-focused workflow.
BeatViz launched AI Director on Oct. 3, a conversational AI system intended to turn a completed song into a structured music-video production, from visual concept and scene planning through generation and final editing.
The product is aimed at a common constraint of AI video creation: retaining a coherent visual idea over an entire track rather than assembling unrelated generated clips. Creators can upload a song, develop its visual direction through conversation, define characters and scenes, plan shots, generate sequences and revise decisions as the project develops.
According to the Beacon Journal's launch announcement, the system can analyse a complete track before establishing its visual structure. Its workflow can then move through creative direction, characters, scenes, storyboards and first frames before producing video clips.
The company said changes need not require restarting a project. A creator can move a performance to a different location, alter the treatment of a chorus, add close-ups or revise a scene while retaining the wider production context.
AI Director expands BeatViz beyond individual video generation into a music-specific production workflow. The company’s environment combines the conversational AI Director, a guided full-song production tool called Workflow and the timeline-based BeatViz Editor.
The editor is designed for post-generation control, allowing individual scenes and clips to be replaced, reordered or refined. BeatViz said keeping the song, creative plan and generated assets in one environment gives users greater control over how a concept develops through a track’s opening, verses, choruses and ending.
Creators can begin with a broad visual idea, review proposed scenes and continue giving natural-language directions in an iterative process. A BeatViz spokesperson said the aim was to let musicians move from a finished song to a structured visual production without beginning with disconnected clips or a blank timeline.
The launch arrives shortly after Google Research outlined a separate multi-agent co-director framework for maintaining coherence in long-form AI video, as we reported in September. BeatViz’s product is specifically positioned for musicians and creators making visual content from finished songs.
